[India_Vision_2020] 100th Edition of Ezine PreSense launched on 27th June 2015

hi

I am happy to share with you that the 100th Edition of Ezine PreSense was launched by Shri Lakshmi Narayanan (Vice Chairman of Cognizant) in a simple function organised at Chennai.  Many eminent persons of Chennai and many of our readers participated in the event.  Since Dr Santhosh Babu IAS had to be at Kerala due to some urgent work, he launched the soft copy remotely from Kerala through teleconferencing.

The 100th edition is a digest titled "PreSense100 - A Collector's Digest".  This 248 page book contains more than 100 selected articles and Prince cartoons.  The first copy of the book was received by Vidya and Sakthi Prasanna, who were part of the editorial team in the first edition of ezine.  Dr APJ Abdul Kalam has given the Foreword to this book.

In the wlecome address, Susan Koshy, Editor of PreSense traced the journey of the ezine from March 2006.  Padmini of Polaris Group, one of our regular readers reviewed the PreSense100.

The ezine PReSense was started in March 2006.  Upto 60 issues, each edition focussed on one theme of communication.  After a brief break, we resumed the ezine with general contents.  The tag line was changed from 'communicate the communication' to 'Spreading Positive Vibrations'.  Though the masthead remained the same, PReSense became PreSense.  Now the ezine has wider readership globally.  All the editions are released on 1st day of every month during noon unfailingly.

Probably PreSense is the only national ezine (emagazine) in public domain covering varied subjects and surviving for a long time.  Many ezines started enthusiastically by varied people could not survive beyond a single digit number, due to various reasons.

Braving all challenges, PreSense has survived upto 100th edition, due to the dedicated editorial team and supporting readers.  This experiment proves beyond doubt that there is a space for 'Positive journalism'. The cartoon character 'Prince' created by Triambak Sharma of Raipur has added value to PreSense.  So far we have published 80 Prince cartoons.  Even Wall Street Journal has reproduced our Prince cartoon with our permission.

Education Loan Task Force (ELTF) and Sansad Ratna Awards are the two initiatives started by this Ezine PreSense in 2010 and both initiatives are still active.

The soft copy of the PreSense100 may be downloaded from

The event photos may be seen at

We are shortly coming out with android app for the ezine also.  On behalf of our Editorial Team, I thank all our readers for the continued support.

They were toppers each under the category of Questions, Private Members Bills and Debates. They will also be inducted into 'Sansad Ratna – Hall of Fame' during the Award ceremony on 11th July 2015.

The Committee of Judges selected the MPs for this year's award based on their performance in the House, attendance in the House and Standing Committees and utilization of MPLad funds. The selection was based on an evaluation of the data provided by PRS India an Lok Sabha Secretariat.
