I forward herewith a mail received from CII seeking nominations for 'Entrepreneur Award Event' from the entrepreneurs of South India. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the good entreprenuers. You may kindly circulate among the eligible candidates and request them to submit their nominations. Dear Mr.Srinivasan,

Pleasure talking to you!

With reference to the discussion we had I am pleased to inform you that Confederation of Indian Industry Southern Region in association with Hindu Business Line is announcing the Second Edition of the CII Southern Regional Emerging Entrepreneur Awards 2012.

In 2010, CII showcased and brought into limelight the Entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu which was very well received by all stakeholders. Based on the resounding success and also interest shown by other southern states, last year we scaled up this initiative to cover all the Southern states. In the first edition of the Regional Award, we had more than 250 entrepreneurs filing their nominations and five successful deserving entrepreneurs were selected by a robust Jury committee for the awards.

Now it is time for the second edition of the Regional Awards. The jury committee comprises some of the eminent names from Industry. The objective of the initiative is to nurture, cherish and recognize the cream of Emerging Entrepreneurs from all the Southern States who will scale up to be national and global players in the next two decades.

The criteria for nominating entrepreneurs for this award is as follows:-

(a) Business should be Truly Emerging.

(b) First Generation Entrepreneur

(c) Turnover ranging between 01 to 25 crores

(d) Been in the business for 2 to 10 years.

(e) Company should be Registered and having its operation in south India.

The Award Ceremony will be held in Mar 2013 at any one of the southern metros and will have large number of entrepreneurs participating. The Award function will have events that will be of interest to Venture Capital /Financial Institutions/ Banks / IT & ITES Tech parks / Software giant's promoting entrepreneurship.

I am writing to invite you to file your nominations and be part of this prestigious event . You may also like to nominate your peers who meet the above mentioned criteria.
