[India_Vision_2020] One more opportunity for SC/ST students to claim Education Loan interest subsidy before 31st Dec 2014 [1 Attachment]

[Attachment(s) from Prime Point Srinivasan included below]

Indian Banks Association has now issued a circular advising all the banks to submit any left out interest subsidy claims relating to eligible SC/ST students who have availed education loan from the banks.  Since the funds allotted to SC/ST students are not fully utilised, they are now advising all the banks to submit the claims from 1.4.2009 onwards till the financial year 2013-14.  This is not applicable for 'General category' students.

The claims have to be submitted by the respective banks before 31st December 2014 to nodal bank Canara Bank.  If there are any eligible SC/ST students who have not claimed interest subsidy in the previous years may now avail this opportunity.  ELTF requests such eligible students to meet their Branch Manager with a copy of this IBA guideline and complete the formalities.

If the Branch Managers refuse to cooperate or show ignorance of this notification, the eligible students may meet the concerned Regional Manager and submit a written complaint to him.  They can also submit a written complaint to the Chairman of the Bank.  The last date for submission of claim by the banks is 31st December 2014.

Please spread and share this information, so that eligible poor students can get the benefit of interest subsidy.

IBA circular is attached for information.

[India_Vision_2020] Coal Nayak and Sansad Ratna Awardee Shri Hansraj Ahir turns 61 and takes charges as Minister in Modi Government

hi

Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, BJP MP from Chandrapur is popularly known as 'Coal Nayak' for his unearthing coal scam. He is also the recipient of 'Sansad Ratna Award' for the past five years continuously for his consistent outstanding performance in the 15th Lok Sabha.  During May 2014, he was elected as MP for fourth time from Chandrapur (Maharashtra).  Sansad Ratna Award is instituted by Prime Point Foundation and the emagazines PreSense and New Gen Thamizhan. This a recognition from the 'civil society'.

Today (11th Novmber 2014) Shri Hansraj Ahir completes 60.  On this day, he also takes charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers.

We are  proud that Shri Hansraj Ahir is  a member of our India Vision online group.  Recently, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in his book 'Manifesto for Change' carried an exclusive interview with Shri Hansraj Ahir, as a Sansad Ratna Awardee.   In the earlier years, he has also taken up the 'education loan issues' in Lok Sabha and also directly with Prime Minister on our request.

On behalf of 'Sansad Ratna Team', we congratulate him for his achievement. We also wish him a very happy birth day.  We pray His Almighty to bless him for his continued dedicated service to the Nation in the new role.

We are also equally proud that we, representing civil society,  started recognising him as an 'Outstanding Parliamentarian'  from 2009 onwards, even 3 years before he became nationally popular for unearthing 'coal scam'.

Please read our write up and see the photo in the Sansad Ratna site

I am especially very happy that you have specifically wanted to publish a small but a worthy article on Bharat Ratna. C. Rajagopalachari (Rajaji) and happy to see it on print.

There are lots and lots of interesting, worthy, thought provoking incidents, which needs to be published on Rajaji. Look forward to contribute more in the coming months.

dear Srinivasan

Another memorable issue to read and enjoy.

Dr.Kalam is an example of flexible leadership, its a GOD given gift to be liked and admired by different types of audience. No wonder he is a great motivator.

U have rightly mentioned that sensation is what our media needs,  not a responsible activity. Nobel rize prompted them to note Kailash satyarthi, pity that our media is not matured enough for a country like India where their role can certainly be pro active.

Black - How does our Traimbak know that - KARUPPU than enakku pudicha kalaru' (I am only fond of black).

Continue the good work, kudos to editorial team , as usual a great effort.

With best wishes and warm regards
