[India_Vision_2020] Documentary film on Dr Abdul Kalam - A worthy gift to youngsters

dear friends

Last week, a documentary on Dr Abdul Kalam (former President of India) was released at Chennai.  This documentarry is the committed effort of one Mr P Dhanapal, a great admirer and fan of Dr Kalam.  Mr Dhanapal spent around 30 months in this task to collect the various information on the life of Dr Kalam and various clippings.  This is the first documentary on the life of Dr Kalam.

This documentary titled "A little dream" runs for 60 minutes.  This is a story in story type.  A grand father tells his grand son on the greatness of Dr Abdul Kalam.  In the process, various clippings from the speeches of Dr Kalam have been incorported.

Inorder to spread the message of Dr Kalam, Mr Dhanapal has priced this VCD at Rs.50/-.  It is a great treasure and can be given as gift to youngsters and students.

I have recorded a podcast interview with Mr Dhanapal on this documentary film.  Please listen to the podcast of Mr Dhanapal and also watch 6 minutes trailer of the docu film at

If anybody wants to get the VCD, you may contact Mr Dhanapal at pdhanapal@yahoo.com or can be contacted at 09282235990

You may also circulate this information to your contacts.

[India_Vision_2020] Regarding -Volunteer for India Vision - Co-ordinator

Dear Friends

It's been overwhelming response on this mailing list & off it. Really good to see many volunteers coming forward! This is the inspiration which gets us going.

We wanted to clarify certain aspect in this respect. First of all we have not put across any qualification for this. Only exception is our "COMMITTED PASSION" for the cause of India Vision 2020 ideas.

A few guidelines we usually follow from various IV2020 chapters. This would be applicable to any of our existing chapters & to be created created ones.

- Every chapter will decide its working, mode of operation & team. Only exception being all should be in sync with India V(ision 2020/related activities.

- As we are not registered trust/NGO we do not directly deal with fundings/accounting. And DOES NOT collect any FUNDING directly. Otherways we  do help is partnering with credible  NGO's & help them raise funds .
We are mainly a platform to bring more individuals,NGO's , groups!
For example Bangalore chapters have partnered with India Sudar Charitable trust(www.indiasudar.org), dream india 2020(dreamindia2020.org) and Ignited minds( http://ignitetheminds.blogspot.com)

- Seeing the magnitude of challanges we face today, it is not possible for one individual or a group to face them. That is why we believe in bringing together more & more  people into this platform.

- Spin Off's may be interested individual groups based on One's interest, which would be our aim too. But we would like to remain facilitators. Believe us members of this group are exposed to great NGO's, unsung heros which have inspired many to choose the field of our work. (including myself & many more)

- From chapter point of view we expect them to keep us posted on the minutes of meetings, activities planned, any suggestions required etc. This is to create more awareness on the activities of the group as a whole.  Otherwise chapter specific communications are left to individual chapters.

- Contribution to "Vandemataram" our official eZine is well appreaciated. The chapters have good local contacts & are exposed to good social cause activities .  They can help us in that regard too

So what are ways we can help in creating India Vision 2020 ideas. I have listed very few of them. It is for our chapters to take it forward.

1) Can promote India Vision 2020 through powerpoints, ezine.
2)  Bring together to light various great unsung  heros who have been silently
been creating great impact to the society.
3) Bring together various NGO's
4) Bring into shape an implentation programme which you feel will take us closer
to the dream of developed India.

Friends, what I have put together is bare minimum. We are a free group & believe in transparent communication. We welcome constructive criticisms BUT NEVER PESSIMISM.

One request to group is please respond regarding your interest to leading India Vision 2020 group individually  TO ME OR MODERATOR prpoint@gmail.com    & not to the whole group. After consultations we will put the final report to the group !!

Let us joing together to create a developed & prosperous India!

Jai Hind !!

Can the moderator please post the list of responsibilities in this position, if there are any specifically outlined? Thanks.
