A former Maharashtra chief minister said that in view of Pawar's statement, it is likely that former president Abdul Kalam may emerge as a consensus nominee for the top post. "Our information is that Mulayam Singh-led SP, AIADMK and Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress have informally agreed on the nomination of Kalam. Our constitution does not bar a candidate from recontesting the presidential elections. In view of his massive contribution in the field of nuclear science and his impressive performance as the president of India, we feel that all political parties will agree on his nomination," he said.

Hi all,

good news for all. Media reports suggest that many political parties are proposing the name of Dr Abdul Kalam as the next President of India. It looks like consensus may emerge in favour of Dr Abdul Kalam for the second term.

India is an young nation with more number of youngsters. In the past five years, Dr Abdul Kalam has toured the entire country and charged the youngsters and students to work towards the Nation.

If you visit his site www.abdulkalam.com, you would find that every day, in the past five years, he was meeting the youngsters and motivating them. Next to Mahatma Gandhi, he is the only leader who is acceptable to all citizens.

Now India is in growth path. We need somebody at the top, who can motivate the youngsters to take the Nation forward. Dr Abdul Kalam is the only leader who can lead the Nation and take the country forward towards the overall development. He commands a great respect and image among the global leaders.

I am confident that all parties will recognise the aspirations of young Indians and make Dr Abdul Kalam as the next President. If his name is circulated among the citizens, more than 95 percent of the citizens would prefer him.

Let us all hope and pray to have the Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam sir as our next President.
