New Year Greetings + An article on Babasaheb Dr BR Ambedkar
Today (14th April 2016) some more parts of India like Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, etc are celebrating New Year in different name. This is the real New Year for all Indians. Let us pray His Almighty to bring prosperity to our Nation.
Today the Nation celebrates Babasaheb Dr. B R Ambedkar's 126th birth Anniversary. In my personal view, he was the most suitable leader to be the first Prime Minister of India. In spite of all the humiliations and tortures, Dr Ambedkar, as a 'Karma Yogi' went on with his works. He was the architect of Indian Constitution, which has withstood the test of time.
Many people do not know that he was against Article 370, special status to Jammu and Kashmir. He refused to draft that article. His warnings have come true. Also, he was for Sanskrit to be made as a national Language. However, this was not accepted by the Constituent Assembly. He was against Aryan and Dravidian theory. Presently, many of the leaders, claiming to be the followers of Dr Ambedkar do not talk about this, for reasons best known to them.
Reserve Bank of India was set up based on the suggestions and papers of Dr Ambedkar. When he was the Labour Minister in Viceroy Government, he brought in lot of labour reforms. Sadly, a national hero like Dr Ambedkar is projected as a community leader. He stunned the British with his speech during the Roundtable Conference.
