dear friends
Editorial team of PR-e-Sense wishes all the members and readers a very happy New Year.
We are pleased to release the December 07 issue of our ezine PR-e-Sense, focusing on Right to Information. This ezine is also integrated with podcast.
In the recent years, lot of discussions are being held on transparency and good governance. Globally, a trend is emerging towards freedom or right to information. Some of the developing countries have already enacted laws to provide information to the citizens.
In this issue, we are discussing the Right to Information Act of India comparing with the similar acts in United Kingdom and United States. Many eminent people have shared their views.
We have also brought out an interesting case study involving controversial Sethu Samudram Project. While the Government is claiming the reduction of cost for ships using the proposed canal, the Govt. owned Shipping company informs that 'they do not have any information under RTI act!
Besides, we are also discussing the impact of Right to Information Act on the Private Sector Corporates and Multinational Companies. They cannot assume that they are not covered under this Act . But many companies in the Corporate Sector would have serious impact, in future, when people start seeking information extensively under RTI Act.
Please read the ezine and offer your feedback.
This ezine and earlier editions may be downloaded from http://www.corporat
Wishing you again a very happy and prosperous New year
