A pulmonary TB positive patient Ms Varalakshmi 35 years discharged by medical staffs of TB Sanatorium inspite of beds availability and she is out in streets now spreading TB to all.
The story in depth
Ms Varalakshmi TB positive case was admitted on 29th Feb 2020 by Nishabdha Seva team with several humble requests to Dr S Kumar Medical officer TB hospital Sanatorium
Yesterday 19th March evening 5.10 pm we went to TB hospital Sanatorium to see Ms Varalakshmi after few days of our social good programs out of Chennai. To our suprise she could not be found in wards of TB hospital by us. No staff nurse was cooperative to say her discharge date. We met the patient on the streets and it is sad that she was discharged on 12th March inspite of TB positive in her sputum.
Background
My humble self when working with Covansys CSC inside Mepz Sanatorium as part of our CSR along with Udhavum ullangal provided help and support via hygienic kits to TB patients during the period of Dr Rajasekhar Ex Superintendent of TB. We are unable to meet Prof Dr R Sridhar the present superintendent and Prof. V Vinod Kumar assistant superintendent now. When met with Dr Kumar for Varalakshmi's admission on 28th and 29th could witness the medical staffs including the heads not doing their duty with dedication.
Highlight - Plight of TB patients are pathetic at TB Sanatorium Chennai as 90 percent of the staff are money minded and show faces to patients rather than doing the duty with dedication, love, care and concern.
Action now - Today 20th we wish to readmit Ms Varalakshmi in TB Sanatorium hospital for treatment as she is TB positive. We will make it any how if you know superintendent or medical officer at TB hospital Sanatorium and can help for her admission it would be great.
