dear friends
With the change in life style of our people across the country, HIV / AIDS is posing a greater threat to our younger generation. A recent study reveals that amongst the new cases of HIV/AIDS affected persons, nearly 50 percent are from the age group of 18 to 26.
Dr K. Surya Rao of Vishakapatnam has done lot of research on HIV/AIDS right from 1980s and he is one of the pioneers in India for creating awareness of this dangerous virus. Last month (May 08), he was honoured by the President of India with Padma Shree Award for his service in this field. He is also addressing the UN Assembly on this topic on 10th June.
He is also a member of our group. On behalf of this group, i congratulate him for this honour.
I had the opportunity of meeting him at Chennai two days back and I immediatley recorded his interview through my mobile phone voice recorder. Please listen to his interview at.
