[India_Vision_2020] Dr Abdul Kalam honours cartoonists at Cartoon Festival 2011

Dr Abdul Kalam honoured the senior cartoonists at Delhi on 29th April 2011 for their contribution to the art of cartoon.  Dr Abdul Kalam is a great admirer of cartoons and he always suggest to the media to carry more cartoons, to bring smile pn the face of readers.  Cartoon is a great art, through which the cartoonist can bring smile and can convey very complicated messages in a simple manner.

Cartoon Watch, the only cartoon magazine in India, published from Raipur organises cartoon festival every year since 2003 and honours the senior cartoonists for their life time achievement.  In 2011, they honoured 5 cartoonists for their life time achievement.

Mr Triambak Sharma, Editor, Cartoon Watch who organised this event is also the cartoon editor of our ezine PreSense.  Dr Kalam quoted in his speech the cartoon character PRince, created by Triambak Sharma for our ezine PreSense.

Dr Kalam inaugurated the Festival, by drawing a symbolic cartoon.  Dr Abdul Kalam made an inspiring speech on that day sharing his personal experiences.
