Rise of Hindu Nationalism in India | Muqtedar Khan with Ravi Agrawal
Dear Friends I had a fascinating conversation with Ravi Agrawal, the Managing Editor of Foreign Policy Magazine, on the "Rise of Hindu Nationalism in India and its Impact on Indian Democracy." The conversation covers the rise of BJP, the decline of India's image globally, the plight of minorities in India and the slowing of India's economic growth. The importance of Narendra Modi, India's PM, in the rise of Hindu Nationalism is also discussed. This dialogue was part of the Center for Global and Area Studies's lecture series ARSC 300 titled Religion and Politics in Secular Democracies. The lectures series is co-sponsored by the Center for Global Policy in Washington DC and the Institute for Religion, Culture and Politics at Washington College.
