[India_Vision_2020] Follow up for Dr Kalam's suggestion - Increasing Partner organisations

Important - Moderator's Note

dear friends

I had indicated in our earlier mail that when our partner organisations met Dr Kalam on 24th July midnight, he was saying,  " You are all doing good jobs. I need one thousand such organisations".  Immediately, i told Dr Kalam that 11 people who were with him on that occassion were only sample and we have more such 'Unsung Heroes' in our India Vision Group.  He was feeling happy.

What impressed Dr Kalam was that our partner organisations like Suyam, Manam Malarattum, India Sudar, Dream India, Young Helping Minds, Team Everest and Nandanar Trust are doing great jobs without expecting any rewards.  They never aspire for publicity.  They continue ther work with utmost sincerity.  Every organisation has the backing of many youngsters.  That was why Dr Kalam wanted to have one thousand such organisations. Repeatedly, he was mentioning that "we can work together", indicating his immense confidence on the youth behind such organisations.

We have promised Dr Kalam to enlist 100 such dedicated organisations for working with him.  Before December 2008, we would like to increaase our 7 partner organisations to 25.  The criteria will be :

1.  Formal or informal  organisations / groups  should be managed by youth or students with the aim of nation building and offering services to the needy in the society, particularly weaker section of the society.

2.  It should be running for a minimum period of one year.

3.  Monetary involvement is not important.  Effectiveness in implmenting the projects is required.

Please send your details, with the list of activities, web link, funding sources, etc. immediately to me at prpoint@gmail.com under copy to Siva at shivapas@yahoo.comPlease do not send to the group.  Please send to us personally.

As you know, we are also having a bi-monthly ezine Vandemataram for publishing our activities.

Please send your details before the end of this month.  We have formed a screening committee for inclusion in our Partner Organisations group. After we finalise our additional partner organisations, we will inform Dr Kalam for his further guidance.

Indiaviduals, who are not linked to any formal group, but would like to join any of the partner organisations, kindly write to me and to Shiva.  We will tag you with the suitable organisation.

If a group of youngsters want to organise a formal or informal group to work for the society like others, please inform us.  We will guide you step by step and finally, we will make you as our partner organisation.

If we have passion and will, we can achieve.  Let us all work together to take our Nation forward.  Even small drops make a big ocean.
