Dear friends
Every year last Sunday of September is observed as 'World Heart Day'. Cardiovascular diseases are the world's largest killers, claiming 17.1 million lives a year. Risk factors for heart disease and stroke include raised blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels, smoking, inadequate intake of fruit and vegetables, overweight, obesity and physical inactivity.
In India alone annually 5 million people get cardiac problems. 5000 people die of heart attack every day in India. This is a life style disease. Last year, on this day, we released a podcast interview with Dr Satish Gupta of Global Hospital, who conducted an extensive research with the support of DRDO and Ministry of Health of Govt. of India.
In the recent days, even the young people get into cardiac problems due to work pressure, improper food, lack of exercises, negative thoughts in the mind, etc. The only solution to prevent cardiac problem is to take good fibrous food, good sleep, exercise and meditation.
Please listen to the interview of Dr Satish Gupta, recorded and released by me last year.
Last year, I also recorded another interview with Dr A P J Abdul Kalam on his health advice to youth. He has also independently emphasised on the above aspects of (a) nutritious food, (b) exercise and (c) meditation to keep a good health. Please listen to Dr Abdul Kalam in the following link.
This message is released in public interest.
