dear friends
In my earlier message, i mentioned about the Joint Seminar organised by Indian Banks' Association (IBA) and Consumers Association of India (CAI). Ms Usha Thorat, Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India delivered the valedictory address. She is incharge of the customer service at RBI level. She handles all the customer grievances against all the banks operting in India (public sector, private sector and multinational banks). She is also the appellate authority for the all 'Banking Ombudsman' operating in India. .
In her speech, she touched on very important and debated issues like loan documents, loan recovery agents, Credit cards, ATM cards, Cheque drop boxes, penal interest, service charges and many other areas, causing concern to the customers.
