Re: [India_Vision_2020] Mahatma Gandhi birthday - World Non violence day

Dear Srinivasan ji,

You are right. Sincerity was the core reason for their success.
Furthermore, Gandhiji became Gandhiji because he deserved it...

He was Bapu for all...
Sardar Patel, Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and many other freedom fighters were of different ideology but all of them had respect for Gandhiji. Also many of them were inspired by that Great Soul to join the movement.

Today we all are inspired by Shri Kalam ji... His message has become a mission for us... All of us are joining the pieces to make that dream a reality... This is also a MOVEMENT... A movement of hardship with a rock solid WILL to see our Nation - A developed one..!

Regarding the communication, I think today's media has become much too aggressive w.r.t. BREAKING NEWS and artificial stories... In the race of TRPs, they have lost the 'Sincerity' and when there is no sincerity no one follows it. [e.g. TV and print media (even that of Gujarat) had been portraying negative picture about Narendra Modi throughout but he infact was the hero in Gujarat because of his sincere deeds and election results was the answer by the mass to the media that they just don't trust whatever they reveal].

So you are right that Sincerity is the core for an effective success.

Jai Hind,

Shaurya Shah

dear friends

Today (2nd Oct) is the birth day of Mahatma Gandhi. Almost all the Televisions and Media n India have been recalling the memories of Indian freedom movement.

Just now, I was watching 'Gandhi' film telecast by a channel.  I was just thinking, how in the vast country like India, Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters were spreading the freedom message and mobilised the people against the British for getting freedom, through non-violent methods and  non-cooperation.

Presently, as communicators, we find it difficult to communicate a message with all the communication gadgets and facilities.  In those days, (before 1947), there were only few print media and radio.  The entire message of freedom campaign could reach the entire country successfully and involve them.

I feel the sincerity and effectiveness of the message are  the core reason for the success of the entire campaign.

I welcome members to share their views
