Dear All,
It's nice to see an active discussion on this topic. With due respects to the thoughts posted earlier on this topic, here are my humble thoughts on this :
Dr.Kalam, with his great vision for the country and his simplicity, has proved that he is a great soul (Mahatma). It is definitely a fitting title to Dr.Kalam, and there could be no second thoughts about it!
However, I feel that the words 'Mahatma' and 'Gandhiji' have become synonymous.. the mapping between these 2 words has been registered into every Indian's mind since childhood...
In order to for the title to make unique impact, how about choosing an equally vibrant and an equally fitting title that reflects super stature of Dr.Kalam as an alternate choice ? 'Yug Purush', in my opinion, is one such title (out of the ones that have been recommended so far). Of course, there may be other titles as well that fit Dr.Kalam better!.. We need to spread our thoughts wider and find the best fitting title for Dr.Kalam!
May I request the group members to pour in their thoughts?
Since Dr.Kalam's BirthDay is nearing, we have to speed up our discussion on this and come to a consensus soon.
Thanks & Regards,
Jayatheerthan
