Re: Re: [India_Vision_2020] How to improve driving discipline? - It is all about Bangalore

Dear All,

I would like to share some of my views.

Imagine you are after a car in your bike. Both yourself and the car are travelling at 80 km speed. On the way you see another boy in pulsar with his girl friend "closely packed" overtaking you and the car. You just stare at that girl for a second. In the mean time the car in front of you applied a break as the car's speed has been disturbed by the pulsar boy.

What happens next?

You may be flying over the car or you are alive or not..? who knows what happens after an accident. I have heard of many deaths after months or a few years after a major accident.

SO ACCIDENTS ARE NOT PLANNED.
ACCIDENTS HAPPEN AT THE LOSE OF CONSCIOUSNESS OR CONCENTRATION FOR A FRACTION OF SECOND.

1. We have to look at more practical possibilities.
Lack of self discipline in our blood is the first and foremost cause for all undesirable happenings in today's life - be it accidents, be it pollution, be it AIDS, be it domestic violence,

2. One thing can be making early awareness to the children at school level and college level by incorporating a training session / subject and teach on traffic rules and regulations. Not only this but also pollution, AIDS control, bank related activites, basic laws against domestic violences, various governmental organisations and recognised NGOs helplines available etc that everyone of today must know.

3. If all traffic policemen are strict in already framed traffic rules itself most of the traffic violations can be controlled. Instead most of them, for achieving their monthly targets, book complaints on innocent drivers at no parking area and ignore rash drivers. If they catch also they get money and leave them.

4. Daily you can see 1000s of vehicles parked infront of many wine shops, pubs, clubs, bars. But no policemen put a checkpost there and check for drunk and drive. I dont understand the "UNDERSTANDING" between the traffic policemen and the wine shop owners.

5. More than anything if you are conscious that you are driving safe, its more helpful not only for your life but also others' life too.

Everyday make a promise in your heart that you are going to see your family members again at the end of the day.

ACCIDENTS MAY HAPPEN EITHER AT YOUR MISTAKES OR THE MISTAKES OF OTHERS.
IN BOTH CASE YOU ARE THE SUFFERER! IF YOU THINK YOU ARE MAKING A MISTAKE CORRRECT YOURSELF, IF THE MISTAKE IS OTHERS' CORRECT THEM.

SPEED THRILLS BUT KILLS..!

DRIVE SAFE ! CONTROLLED SPEED IS SAFE !
