[India_Vision_2020] 'Together We 99' Movement launched by Dr Abdul Kalam - Appeal

' Together We 99' movement was launched by Dr Abdul Kalam recently at Chennai.  Mr P Dhanapal, member of our group is taking care of this movement.  Dr Y S Rajan (Co-author of the book India 2020) and Mr V Ponraj (Advisor to Dr Kalam) are mentoring this project.

'Inaindhu Naam 99' (Together We 99) movement is launched and guided by Dr. APJ. Abdul Kalam, former President of India under SIRAKU Foundation.

 

SIRAKU Foundation:

 

SIRAKU stands for 'Skills and Income for Rural Aspirants and KnowledgeUnlimited'. SIRAKU aims to address the crucial issue of converting or transforming the large youth population into a real Human Capital, globally relevant and competitive. Shri.Y.S.Rajan (Co-author, India Vision 2020 and Principal Advisor to CII) is the chief mentor for SIRAKU Foundation. Shri.V.Ponraj is our advisor. 

 

'Inaindhu Naam 99': ( Together We 99)

 

66 social entrepreneurs and 33 mentor organizations together called 'Inaindhu Naam 99' (means 'Together We 99')..

 

'Inaindhu Naam 99' is a fellowship programme to support and encourage young social workers, who display a lot of potential for social action and change. The fellowships is open for individuals who want to set up non-profit organisations as well as those who set up such non-profit organisations not more than five years ago.

 

This fellowship includes financial support of Rs.5000 per month for two years, combined with training and mentoring support.

 

The first batch of 50 social entrepreneurs were trained for 3 days in Pollachi followed by the Address of Dr.APJ.Abdul Kalam.  They have all taken oath from Dr.Kalam.

 

Each mentor is assigned with 2 social entrepreneurs to enable them in capacity building and social networking for two years. All social entrepreneurs were selected by MaFoi consultancy, CIOSA and SIRAKU Foundation jointly.

 

We invite India Vision members to be a part of this programme 'Inaindhu Naam 99' in the following ways:

 

1. Individual mentor – You can take up a role of individual mentor. You can choose one social entrepreneur to guide and facilitate. You have to visit them at least 2 times every month and analyse their social activities. We expect you to share their success stories in India Vision group and their difficulties with SIRAKU Foundation. Our social entrepreneurs present in all districts of Tamil Nadu. 
2. Mentor – We are giving a fellowship of Rs.5000 every month to each social entrepreneur. You can become a sponsor for one or two social entrepreneurs. You can also guide them in their activities. This fellowship programme is for two years. This fellowship amount can be sponsored individually or by a group of people.
