Re: [India_Vision_2020] Singh is King - Election 09 - Analysing the loud message given by Indian Voters

Hello All,

Good to see India is under a stable rule for next 5 years. Even people in Andhra Pradesh choose a stable govt. But frankly speaking people choose UPA [ Congress ] at center and Congress in AP merely because there is no better alternative for Congress in this elections. Should we say people for stable governance or for UPA?

I would like to review certain issues with respect to Andhra Pradesh Elecions and Indian Polls. As Mr. Srinivasan referred AP people choose back its ruling party [Congress] for next 5 years too. As per Mr. Philip reference, people showed their maturity. Even though they elected back Congress and supported they rejected many ministers [elected in 2004 elections]. Congress got less percentage of votes in Assembly than Lok Sabha Elections. This because lack of alternative for people in AP as all other parties are towards unstable govts at center [Third and Fourth Front]. So we can even say Congress swept Lok sabha polls in AP.

People here even rejected or victory with hairline gap of votes for many Sr. leaders from all parties [ Congress, TDP, TRS and so on ] as they are looking for fresh and uncorrupted rule. Even PRP, a party started with all stardom and Cine Glamor, one like DMDK, in Tamil Nadu, toppled in elections. People are not ready for business or cine glamor in name of politics. They want matured leaders as their representatives.

Strong opponents for Congress in AP formed a Kootami [ Group of 4 parties] with a single motive of dethrone Congress govt in AP. They lack strong point for people to consider them as a alternative. Even their support to third front and confusion raised in seat sharing and controversial statements flopped them in the final battle. They themselves ruined all possibilities of hung assembly in the state. Even till last but one hour of poll results also there was every possibility of hung assembly in Andhra Pradesh. But due to all messy coalitions and confusions they toppled at last hour. So congress is victorious again without hung assembly [probably they should thank their opponents for all the confusion].

Lok Satta, other party, in the arena for the race for true governance in the state. They could make their impact in the vote bank for educated class. But couldn't reach working class. One thing to be noted here, elections are game with crores and power. But each candidate in this very party hardly spent rs. 2 lakhs on avg in all segments [50% of Rs. 4 Lakhs being the amount a candidate can spend for elections]. Mr. Jaya Prakash Narayan[JP] , Leader of the party, is the only one vicarious candidate from this party. Should I say People are not mature enough to choose a better alternative for good governance or Lok Satta Party is not strong enough to reach all segments of people as a alternative?

Mr. JP single-handled want to make a mark of Lok Satta in Assembly. He seems a unbiased candidate came up with the slogan "second freedom struggle" against corruption at gross root levels. Hope to see more such people.

Thanks

The sweep by the Congress indicates that the electorate is mature. The parties and politicians who wanted to ditch the Congress have been swept away.Congress from day one handled the campaign perfectly.Andhra Pradesh is a perfect example where YSR won on the development plank.TRS,LOK satta and Praja rajyam all split the votes.I feel Percept, the PR agency for Congress handled it well--- Philip Joshua...In India_Vision_ 2020@yahoogroups .com, Prime Point Srinivasan <prpoint@... > wrote:
