Re: [India_Vision_2020] Developing a clean India

I agree with the views and I would like to share a movement called My Clean India that has been building momentum becasue of an effort by Mr Remco from Nainital

The 3rd week of Sept is celeberated as the My Clean India week and we are taking it forward. A small note on the plans for OCt 2, 2008 are as follows to replicate the Dandi March by Gandhi ji to a 'Broom' Yatra' to create Operation Clean.

The country todays needs a mass movement for cleaning the society and our environment. We have left the whole effort on the government agencies and inspite of us facing problem on account of the same we do not care to raise the issues or try to get a solution to the same either on our own or with collective effort either by the community or through the government agencies.

Remco, an Australian who visited India and Nainital was moved by the beauty of Nainital, and was equally shaken by the filth around the city. He came back to shake the people of Nainital in particular and the country in general and thus was born a movement ' My Clean India'. An event on 18th September each year marks the movement wherein he is present every year to shake us to do something.

While this movement has moved to Lucknow, Allahabad, Agra besides this area it is planned to convert this movement in a people's movement on the lines of the independence movement by Gandhi ji. To take it forward we need support from all corners and it has to be a commitment to the cleanliness in all forms. The saints have taken the lead to clean the holy river Ganga and the launch also has incidentally happened yesterday. All like minded people and society have to network.

We are planning a rally on the 2nd October 2008 from St Theresa School Kathgodam to the Stadium starting 830 am to be flagged off by the Chairperson Nagarpalika and other prominent personalities of the city and would like your support in making it a success.

[India_Vision_2020] Developing a clean India

Dear all
I agree with Samina .I have been in practice of not throwing waste stuff by the road side for the past 5 years .Really it works great i keep the waste stuff like tickets ,polythene  cover  of chocolate , water packet etc .In fact at the end of the day i have lot of stuff in my hand . The other thing  which is most important is making the others around u to do it then only we can have a clean India .This a basic quality i see missing even in highly qualified human being.Every parent must follow this and also teach their  kids to  do it .

Re: [India_Vision_2020] ADAA - Indian Express

Dear Navin

This is a truly a great step forward in lighting up the life of these children.
We all have united here in this platform of IndiaVision2020 with the thought of "Stop Complaining and Start acting" , You and your action on the field is very inspiring and motivating us do more.

We see that this begging is kind of a racket and there are many people at different levels of power involved in it. They run it like a business altogether.  However these children on the roads cannot be left like this for a long time just to grow as criminals.

We want our nation to be in safe hands. These children have seen money in the very young age and slowly they become agnostic to punishments and numb to any moral advice. This may add to our difficulty in bringing a reform in their lives.  We may also have to struggle with the mind set of their parents. But we together can fight this out.

I am sure with very active and energetic members of IV2020 across the globe we will be able to spread this message and light a ray of hope in the lives of these kids who essentially are India's future!!

Once again hearty congrats and appreciations to you and your team ADAA for this breakthrough step!

Thanks and regards
Jayasree
