sir,

hats off for ur efforts ..when u are not interested in something and when u have no restrictions of doing it u wont attempt to do it.. i suppose this is what exactly happening in govt schools.as my previous replier had said it would be better to separate the fast learners from others.this will be a big boon to both categories.. fast learner will be free to learn and the teacher has an option to approach a different manner to the ones who are not interested.. in govt schools there will be almost 2 categories of students..
1..those who really want to study
2.those who come by  compulsion from the parents or others.. these people just come schools for time pass..
so separating them will really help in bringing both people up.another point is that these people do not have vision about education and its essence .. thats why they lost the interest.. a special programme to these students on importance of learning and advancement in science and technologies (not in usual way of describing these orally but show them videos of chandrayan 1 , advancement in technology videos.. these videos are easily available on the net easily as u know)
this special motivation class should be in should be in such a way that the students should actually feel that in future they should be a part  of this technology..
i am sure with this motivation every thing will go fine..also motivate them  about the future(ask them if the present situation continues what will happen,u will do only ur fathers job.think yourself.by studying well you can get a life of your wish.. like that)
sir i am an engineering student from ece dept.. in our nss camps i noticed the students are lacking in vision .. this is what preventing them from doing their best..
also little action of government makes even the good students feel bad.. the engineering colleges are increasing rapidly.. this leads to lot of unemployment in engineering and other fields like agricultural studies and other dept remains vacant.. so government should take steps to allot seats limited in all respect to have a stable society..

i am a retired professor in chemistry, from a govt. college. from my experience, i would like to tell u that it is the same in all govt. schools and colleges. a teacher, teaching a higher standard, always finds his/her ward lacking in proficiency wrt his/her earlier classes. in this forum v r expected to project only positive sides. so, what v need to do is to separate slow learners and teach them in a separate stream. also, there must b an urge in the student's mind to learn. v have to concentrate on those who respond and v must try to bring others round to our way. i wish u good luck in ur efforts. pl. remember v r working in a time where the central govt. is planning to abolish tenth standard public exams and there r people who support such a move. and v have human rights advocates who r against giving any punishments to the bad elements amongst the students. so, remember the words of gita, " do thy duty; fruit is not thy concern." i once again wish u success in ur efforts. remember that there will b at least one person who will b benefited by ur efforts. as time passes by, this number will grow and u will realise that u have done a great service to the down trodden.
