Dear Friends
I think th people of India feel that they are let out by the politicians
That may be the reason for lower voters turnout.
One more thing, they are left with choosing one from the bunch of bad/worst elements.
Also, their continuous franchising exercise could only help the candidate with upward growth and the poor voters who had voted remain at the same position of what they are for all these years. That may be the reason for the reluctancy to go for the voting
I think it is high time, we must analyse the reason for this reluctancy and try to improve on that - as selecting candidate on 50% polling strength is not good for a country which solely depends on democracy.
Are the Indian People, living in so called biggest democratic country of the world, loosing interest/faith in Democracy?
