Dear Friends,
Greetings to you all, am a new member to this group and a big 3 cheers to all for the valuable contributions/ efforts toward vision 2020.
Am sharing with you one of the initiatives which i have come across, though it may not have a direct impact on Vision 2020, but a true helping hand for the society and the neighborhood to reach a better stand..as mentioned by Dr.kalam in one of his replies to a question in this group, youth entering into politics :"My thinking and action will be towards creating the wellbeing of the society".
"Little Drops" is being run with great personal sacrifice and with the firm belief that somehow the help will come when it is required. And so far it has. There are very few people who having seen the kind of work being carried out in Little Drops and its associate institutions, have not been moved to help in some way, big or small.
But it is still a mammoth task – finding the money to feed, clothe, shelter, educate and rehabilitate over 750 men, women and children, day after unending day.
The purpose of this mail is to help in some small way towards making that process a little easier and take some of the burden off their shoulders.
To quote the famous words of Mother Theresa, that inspired the name Little Drops:
"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is only a drop in the ocean, but if that drop was not in the ocean, would not the ocean be less by that missing drop?"
Is the society is ready to meet everyones basic requirements? We are still finding answers in bits and pieces...
Expecting your valuable inputs for these questions:
1. How can we all play a role in making these initiatives (Littledrops) a fruitful one to society?
