Dear Mr. Srinivasan,
dear friends
We have been featuring the Top few performers of 14th Lok Sabha and we have already published interviews from various MPs in our www.poduniversal.com as PodMagazine.
There are 34 MPs in the age group of 25 to 40. They have raised 612 issues and asked 6128 questions. The average per member works out 18 issues and 180 questions, while the Lok Sabha average is 30.8 and 180 respectively. Probably, these young MPs lack experience to raise more issues and participate in debates. The attendace is 68.3% while the Lok Sabha average is 69.9%. By and large these young MPs compare themselves with seniors.
Amongst them Mr Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM) from Hyderabad remains No1. He has raised issues and participated in debates 51 times and asked 1004 questions. He has attended 74% of the sittings. He is 40 years old. He was also a member of AP Assembly twice. We have contacted him over phone and we will be recording his interview tomorrow.
Mr Ananta Nayak of BJP from Orissa comes second with 713 questions/issues and attendance of 72%. He is a second term MP. He is aged 40.
Out of this 34 MPs, 12 MPs are less than 35 years old.
Amongst the youngest MPs - less than 35 years, Mr Milind Murli Deora (Cong member from Mumbai South) has done well with 482 questions/issues at this credit and 75% attendance.
In the under 35 category, Mr Mohamed Tahir Khan (BSP MP from Sultanpur, UP) has 442 questions/issues at his credit and attendance of 61%.
We congratulate them. Generally, I find the younger MPs across all parties ae comparitively doing better. The party leaderships shoul groom them well. The average performance is comparable to the House average.
